Today, the tour guide leads you around the UNESCO World Heritage Sites located in the Kathmandu Valley for you entertainment. By visiting Swayambhunath Stupa (Monkey Temple), Bouddhanath Stupa, Pashupatinath Temple and Patan Durbar Square, you feel your vacation is really exciting. You can collect trekking gears, medicines preventing AMS (Acute Mountain Sickness) and other stuffs you think useful during Nepal trekking. After having breakfast, a private jeep comes to receive you at the hotel along with the trekking guide. The bus drives along Araniko Highway upto Khadi Chaur offering the best vistas of cultivated lands, pleasing landscapes, trade centers. From Khadi Chaur, the bus takes the right road that goes past a few thrilling steep modes. The journey to Jagat is really unforgettable as you can capture the enchanting view of the forest, gorges, rifts and snowcapped peaks. After driving for about 10 hours, you reach Jagat by crossing Lamosanghu and Charikot, trade centers of Dolakha. You stay at a teahouse or homestay at Jagat by relishing the typical Nepali food items served by the local people.

The trekking trail today is curved up and down which passes along a classic Sherpa village, Chetchet. By crossing a suspension bridge constructed over the Tama Koshi River, the trail leaves you in a beautiful village, Simigaun. As the trekking hour is quite short, you can spend the time by exploring Simigaun where you will spend the night. The most interesting site to visit in this village is a Buddhist monastery situated on top of a ridge.

Today’s rugged path moves up and down the ridges penetrating the Rolwaling River valley with the cultivated fertile soil. You walk through dense forests of rhododendron, pine, oak and juniper being connected with small wooden and suspension bridges. You come to find some small hilly junctions having teahouses operated only in the season not appropriate for trekking. On the trekking season, the Sherpa people of Rolwaling zone climb the highlands as the guides or porters. You come to a village Gyalche which can be used as an alternative station for night rest in few teahouses. However, after walking for nearly 30 minutes, you reach Dongang, a beautiful Sherpa Village reflecting Tibetan Buddhist culture and tradition.

This is one of the toughest days during Rolwaling Tso Rolpa trek as you climb almost 1,000m higher to reach Beding. You can see an NMA board on the way saying, “No one profits from illegal mountaineering. So, stop doing it right now!” The trail winds further across the RolwalingKhola through a bridge rewarding you with the lovely view of Chekigo Peak (6,257m).

Then the trail goes along the banks of the Themlung Khola which originates from Mt. Gaurishankar and irrigates the farming land there. You enjoy the Themlung Khola Valley and the closest view of Mt. Gaurishankar, which is the determinant of Nepal’s standard time. The other villages that you walk past are Jobalu, Nyiamare, Ramding and Chhima Golche on the way to Beding. The houses of these villages are locked most of the time because the men go for trekking while women for grazing cattle. A beautiful village and the largest in the Rolwaling River Valley, Beding is the station you are going to spend the night.

Beding Acclimatization Day is really important to successfully do Tso Rolpa trek as it is located higher than 4,500m altitude. For acclimatization, you can take a stroll around Beding village and know about their lifestyle, culture and tradition at fullest. A short hike to Malung Kharka is really fruitful to adjust with the increasing height in the Nepalese Himalayas. Today, you are heading towards a Sherpa village, Na which is located in a beautiful valley just below Tso Rolpa Lake. The trail ascends through Beding valley showing you icefalls and waterfalls on the side along the banks of the Rolwaling River. After reaching Na village, keep the load except warm clothes and cameras at a lodge where you will spend the night.

Then, take a hike to Tso Rolpa Lake, one of the highest altitude glacial lake of Nepal. This is the highest altitude you have to reach in the course of Rolwaling Tso Rolpa trekking. The lake is surrounded by the bare hills and snowcapped peaks all around and their reflection on the turquoise water is just superb! Then come back to Na for the night rest and enjoy the typical cuisines served with the best hospitality.

Today, the trekking trail climbs down through the lush rhododendron forests and juniper bushes. Following the banks of the Tso Rolpa River which offers you really a beautiful scenery of the dense forests and snowy peaks of the Rolwaling and Everest region. Overnight stay at a teahouse at Dongang tasting the local food items like Tongba (a type of local beer) and Thukpa as it is a Sherpa settlement area.
