Day to Day Itinerary

On you arrival at Kathmandu International Airport, the representative of Orbit Alpine Adventure comes to receive you. Then, s/he takes you to the hotel booked for your accommodation. You can take a stroll around the tourist hub Thamel and purchase the stuffs you need.

After having breakfast at the hotel, you move towards the Kathmandu Airport to catch a flight to Pokhara. You have a scenic flight to Pokhara enjoying the magnificent view of the snowcapped peaks of Manaslu region and amazing landscapes. After landing at Pokhara Airport, a private jeep takes you to Kande via Australian Base Camp having the Himalayan view. After taking lunch nearby Australian Camp, you marched ahead towards Pothana, another stopover during Mardi Himal Short trek. You get your Annapurna Conservatin Area Project permit checked at Pothana and following the trail uphill, you reach Deurali for the night stay.

You enjoy the early sunrise view of Annapurna South and Mt. Machhapuchhre while having breakfast from Deurali. Afterwards, you begin your journey towards Low Camp by walking along the trail that passes by Forest Camp (2,600m). We highly recommend you to drink enough water and even pack some quantity since there are no teahouses until you reach Low Camp. Moving along the trail that penetrates through the dense rhododendron forests, you reach Low Camp by witnessing the beautiful mountain vistas. It is a perfect view point for having a close glimpse of Mt. Machhapuchhre and Mardi Himal. You can take a short hike to Badal Danda (Cloud Hillock) to have the better view of the amazing landscapes and silvery mountains. Overnight stay at a local teahouse at Low Camp by enjoying the typical Nepali cuisines prepared and served by the Nepali women.

By leaving Badal Danda far behind, you follow the trekking route along the rhododendron forests having some birds. Your journey to High Camp is accompanied by the enthralling view of Mt. Machhapuchhre and Mardi Himal. Moving ahead, you reach Middle Camp alongside the path that penetrates through the rhododendron forests which abodes Lophophorus, the national bird of Nepal. Gradually ascending to higher altitude, other mountain peaks covered with the silvery snow come into your sight boosting you up. You spend a night at a teahouse by relishing the delicious typical Nepali food items.

Today is the most important day of the entire Short trek to Mardi Himal as you reach Mardi Himal Base Camp. After taking breakfast enjoying the morning view of the Annapurna region, you move upwards to the final destination of this trek. You spend enough time by adoring the picturesque view eye-catching Himalayas, beautiful landscapes, flora and fauna of Annapurna region. After capturing the incredible scenery in your camera and your memory, you descend towards Siding village for the night station. Siding is a beautiful traditional village on the lap of the Annapurna vicinity which is famous for its homestay facilities. You had better use Siding homestay facility to taste the delicious cuisines prepared and served by the local people. You can better know about the culture, tradition and lifestyle of the local people while sharing the same kitchen with them!

You begin the journey back to Pokhara in a private jeep after having delicious breakfast in Deurali. After 1.5 drive from Deurali, you catch a flight to Kathmandu. After you land at the Kathmandu International Airport, you will go to the hotel. You can explore the UNESCO World Heritage Sites like Swayambhunath Stupa (Monkey Temple), Pashupatinath Temple and Bouddhanath Stupa. After returning from the day tour to Kathmandu Valley, you can celebrate the completion of Mardi Himal Short trek with your friends. You can go for shopping to take some souvenirs to your people in your home town.In the evening, Orbit Alpine Adventure organizes farewell dinner at a cultural restaurant located around Thamel area.
