Day 01 : Fly to Lukla (2,860m/9,383ft) and Trek to Namche Bazaar (3,440m/10,958ft) - 9 Hours
After taking breakfast, the team member of Orbit Alpine Adventure transfers you to the Kathmandu International Airport. You catch a flight from Kathmandu to Lukla enjoying the beautiful valleys, high altitude villages, amazing landscapes and snowcapped peaks. From Lukla, you formally begin Everest Base Camp Short trek moving towards Phakding by witnessing the stone path and mani walls. By crossing the Hillary Suspension Bridge over the Dudh Koshi River, you move towards Namche Bazaar through dense rhododendron and pine forests. You might even witness the typical animal and bird species of Sagarmatha National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site of Nepal. Overnight stay at a guesthouse by enjoying the food of your choice and appetite.

Day 02 : Acclimatization Day at Namche Bazaar
As there is always possibility for altitude sickness as soon as you reach above 3,000 metres, acclimatization is necessary. For the acclimatization purpose, you have a break at Namche Bazaar which is also time to explore the important sites nearby it. You can hike to Everest View Hotel, the highest altitude hotel in the world for the captivating sight of Mt. Everest. Similarly, you can take a short tour to Sherpa Museum (also known as Hillary Museum) to know more about their culture and tradition. The Hall of Fame of the museum is the gallery displaying the antique pictures of Hillary and Tenzing right from 1953 expedition. Namche Bazaar Monastery lets you know more about the Tibetan Buddhist art and artifacts including rites and rituals.

Day 03 : Trek to Pangboche (3,985m/13,074ft) -6 Hours
After breakfast, you begin the journey through a well-defined trail that shows through some Sherpa ethnic villages towards Tengboche. On the way, you can have the enthralling sight of Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Lhotse Shar, Kangtega and Tobache. By walking past an Army Barrack deployed for the protection of Sagarmatha National Park, you reach Tengboche. You take a short stroll around Tengboche Monastery, the largest monastery of the entire Khumbu region in the lunch break. Walking along the stone-paved path through Dobuche, you reach Pangboche which has the oldest monastery in the Khumbu region. Overnight stay at a local teahouse.

Day 04 : Trek to Thukla (4,620m/15,110ft) – 6 Hours
Today, you follow the rugged trail along the forests of Sagarmatha National Park, the highest altitude conservation area in the world. On the way, you may have some occasional glimpses of some species of the Himalayan animals and birds. You cross a village named Somare to reach Dingboche, one of the key stops during Everest Base Camp trek. Relishing the smiling mountain views of the Khumbu region and observing the Sherpa cultural villages, you reach Thukla for the night station. Overnight stay at a local teahouse of Thukla enjoying the typical Nepali food items.

Day 05 : Trek to Gorak Shep (5,140m/16,864ft) and Hike to Everest Base Camp (5,364m/17,598ft) -7 Hours
You begin today’s trekking after having breakfast, perhaps a bowl of the garlic soup to maintain the temperature of the body in the Himalayas! Witnessing the alluring vistas of the snowcapped peaks of Everest area, you move ahead towards Gorak Shep. It used to be the original base camp until 1953 Everest expedition and before the recent Everest Base Camp was developed. After keeping your backpack at the hotel where you are going to spend the night, you ascend towards EBC. You walk past the Gorak Shep Lake, once the largest glacial lake rejoicing the sight of the Khumbu Glacier. Now, your dream to reach the highest possible place on the lap of the world’s highest peak, Mount Everest comes true! From the base camp, you can see all the snowy peaks welcoming you to their surrounding but Mt. Everest itself hides behind. You have no other alternative to waiting one more night to have the mesmerizing outlook of Mt. Everest. Then, you trek down to Gorak Shep, the last human settlement area towards the base camp of the world’ highest peak.

Day 06 : Hike to Kala Patthar (5,550m/18,209ft) and Trek down to Pheriche (4,371m/14,341ft) -7 Hours
Today is yet another main important day that you have been waiting for long time, especially, since you first heard about Mt. Everest. Rising early in the morning, perhaps around 3 or 4 am, you set off to Kala Patthar before the sun rises. Once you reach Kala Patthar, the best natural viewpoint of Mt. Everest, you remain awestruck due to what you see in front of you! The sunrays hitting the snowy peaks of the Great Himalayas including Mt. Everest are the best firsthand experience that one ever gets in lifetime! Your eyes at a glance feel like dazzled due to the sunrise view of the Himalayas glittering in the red colour. Moreover, Mt. Pumori grins at you from behind the Mountain Giants as if it were to tell something secret!
The mesmerizing scenery of the Khumbu Glacier and the Khumbu Icefall is not less to mention here! You can take as many photographs as you want by keeping the tallest mountains of the world on the background. Then, you hike to Gorak Shep; have your breakfast and begin to measure the trail leading to Periche. Storing the spellbinding view of the glittering peaks, glaciers and icefalls of the Nepalese Himalayas, you walk slowly and carefully. You will feel really high-spirited due to the newness in the snow-clad peaks while descending towards the lower elevation.

Day 07 : Trek down to Namche Bazaar – 6 Hours
After breakfast, you trek down toward Namche Bazaar by following the trail that passes along some classic Sherpa villages like Debuche, Tenboche and Phunke Danda. The speed of the pace automatically accelerates while descending through lush rhododendron and pine forests. By crossing the some suspension bridges over the Dudh Koshi River, you arrive Namche Bazaar, the main business hub of the Sherpa region. On the way, you have the majestic sight of the mountains like Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Tawache and Lhotse. You can spend the night by enjoying the dishes of your choice as all types of modern amenities are found here. Perhaps, partying with the colleagues to make this Nepal trip more memorable is a great idea!

Day 08 : Trek down to Lukla -7 Hours
Today is the last day of trekking in the epic Everest region from Namche Bazaar to Lukla, the Tenzing Hillary Airport. You walk through Monjo, a Sherpa town where lies the checkpoint of Sagarmatha National Park Entry permits to reach Phakding. Enjoying the breathtaking appearance of the snow-white mountains and the Sherpa valleys, you arrive Lukla for the night rest. In the spare time, you can take a short stroll around the Sherpa hilly town to explore more about it.

Day 09 : Fly back to Kathmandu (1,350m/4,429ft) – 35 Minutes
By catching the morning flight from Lukla, you arrive at the Kathmandu International Airport within 35 minutes. Don’t forget to have an aerial view of the Sherpa Valleys region as this is the last voyage of this year. After you are landed at the airport, the representative of Orbit Alpine Adventure transfers you to the hotel booked for accommodation. You can either take a complete rest or celebrate with your people as you have already been to the base camp of Mt. Everest! You can also walk around the tourist hub, Thamel to purchase some gift items for the people in your home country. The choice is all yours!
