Detail Itinerary

  • Day 01 : Arrival in Kathmandu; transfer to hotel.

Our representative will pick you up from the Airport and take you to your hotel. In the evening, your guide will meet you to discuss your travel plans.

  • Day 02 : We take a bus from Kathmandu to Besisahar for ~177 km; 5-6 hrs drive.

After breakfast, you will drive to Besisahar. Taking around 6 hours, you will drive around 180 km to Besisahar, the entrance to Annapurna Conservation Area. You will lunch on the way and stay overnight in a hotel.

  • Day 03 : We start with a ride to Bahundanda; ~18 km; altitude gain to 1,310 m.

We starts with a ride to Bahundanda (18 km), from and elevation of 650 m and going up to 1,310 m. Although some distance is covered by jeep, you will mostly ride along single trails until you cross a river. From there, we ride through vast rice fields with views of Manaslu and other mountains.

  • Day 04 : Ride from Bahundanda To Taal, Manang; ~12 km; altitude gain to 1,700 m.

The main segment from Bahundanda is a specialized trail with rough ups and down. A few times you should push or carry your bicycle. In any case, the journey is through a lovely scene of waterfalls, and dramatic views of Marsyangdi River. At Taal there are shops and hotels where we stay overnight.

  • Day 05 : Ride from Taal to Chame; ~23 km; altitude 1,700 m.

Leaving Taal, you will come across a dry stone decorated with Buddhist inscriptions. Later, passing through farmland, the valley becomes distinctly narrow. From much of Taal to Danaqu you will have to carry your bike. From here however it turns out to be more rideable with great views of snowy peaks, and a wide streaming trail to the resting point. After a monotonous day’s worth of effort to reach Chame, we will unwind in the hot springs near Marshyangdi Khola. Stay overnight in a guesthouse in Chame.

  • Day 06 : Chame to Manang; ~30 km; altitude gain to 3,540 m.

Today the route passes through a dense forest in a steep, narrow valley and crosses a river via two bridges, one at 2,910 m and another at 3,030 m. Further, the trail continues to Pisang, where the altitude is enough to bring on the first symptoms of altitude sickness. From Pisang, the we follow the route to a wide valley that opens up ahead of us. From there we will pass through Humde (the highest commercial airport in the world) and Braga with its Gompa. The face of a prominent cliff obscures Manang until we are practically upon it, and then a steep climb brings us to its streets lined with prayer wheels, and stunning scenery. Stay overnight in a guesthouse.

  • Day 07 : Acclimatize in Manang.

Today we will spend a day in Manang resting and acclimatizing. We should avoid ascending rapidly at all costs, hence the need for acclimatization. Many short excursions are possible from Manang and being fit active throughout the day is good for acclimatization. Stay overnight at a guesthouse in Manang.

  • Day 08 : Manang to Thorong Phedi; ~17 km; altitude gain to 4,450 m.

At first we leave Manang through narrow streets and climb steadily up to Khusang. The trail above Khusang (3,900m) is ridable but the effects of altitude begin to show. Here you will find it hard to turn those pedals. It’s a hard toil up to Thorong Phedi. Stay overnight in a guesthouse.

  • Day 09 : Thorong Phedi to Muktinath; ~18 km; altitude gain to 5,416 m and drop to 3,750 m.

You should begin early today in the twilight hours to cross Thorong-La Pass. It will take around 5 hours carrying your bike to reach the top. Here we will be moving at a snail’s pace. From there, however, the trail descends rapidly on a very steep slope demanding your technical riding skills for approximately one hour. At this time, you will have arrived to a small hamlet from where the trail turns becomes a fast and flowing single-track to Muktinath. Stay overnight in a guesthouse.

  • Day 10 : Muktinath to Tatopani; ~67 km; altitude drop to 1,190 m.

From Muktinath we will descend to tropical lowlands in less than 70 km. At first the trail drops rapidly via jeep-tracks before taking a detour onto a narrow and technical single-track that further drops down to the river bed. From here the terrain passes along jeep track through Jomsom, Marpha and other small villages. Once you reach Kalopani, the trail drops on a rough but fast trail to Tatopani. At Tatopani, we can enjoy the revitalizing bath in the hot springs. Stay overnight in a guesthouse in Tatopani.

  • Day 11 : Tatopani to Khaniya Ghat; ~35 km; altitude drop to 800 m.

Today we will emerge out of the mountains and into the lowlands. As we descend along the track, the temperature will increase and the trail will become less rocky. From Beni the track follows the course of the river and passes through paddies until we arrive at Khaniya Ghat where we meet a proper road that will take us to Pokhara. Stay overnight in a hotel.

  • Day 12 : Cycling tour of Pokhara Valley.

On bicycle, you can visit the popular attractions of Pokhara, and if you feel like it, you can go for a ride to Lake Begnas where the scene of the lake is extraordinary from above. Spend the evening with a drink before returning to the hotel for the night.

  • Day 13 : Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu; overnight in hotel.

Catch a flight or drive to Kathmandu. You can also spend the rest of the day in a sauna to give those muscles a relief and go on a shopping or stroll in the city. In the evening you are invited to join a Nepalese dinner hosted by us.

  • Day 14 : Airport Transfer.

After breakfast or depending upon your schedule, our staff will take you to the airport a few hours before your flight time.
